윤경렬
(Kyungyoul YOON)

윤 경렬(1947년, 전라남도 강진 출생)은 현재 'Cubic Inception' 시리즈의 조각 회화에 전념하는 예술가입니다. 윤은 1980년대 스페인의 마드리드로 이주하여 스터디를 계속하고 작품을 광범위하게 전시했습니다. 그는 스페인의 마드리드 국립 대학 (벨라스 아르테스 대학)에서 회화, 조각 및 판화를 공부한 후 1995년 미국으로 이주했습니다.

윤은 1980년대 이후 미국, 한국, 중국 및 스페인에서 다수의 전시를 개최했습니다. 동아 미술제에, 국립 현대 미술관 1986, Este Y Complutense 2년간 순회전 스페인 1994-1995, Arte Detursa 갤러리에서 개인전 스페인 1994, Jain Marunochi 갤러리 뉴욕 개인전 1993, Blue Hill Cultural Art Center 뉴욕 2001, 2011, The Art Gallery at the Rockefeller State Park Preserve 개인전, 2017, 2022.

서울 예술의전당, 1996, 상하이 리 하이수 박물관, 2013, 공립 내설악 미술 박물관, 2020, 퀸즈 박물관 (시간의 그늘/Shades of Time), 2014, 등이 그의 작품이 다양한 관객에게 감상 되도록 플랫폼을 제공했습니다.

윤은 2016 ~ 2017년에 Sylvia Wald and Po Kim 갤러리에서 개인 전인전을 개최하고 현재까지 동화 오드 갤러리 통하여 아트 마이에미 페어, 햄턴, 아트 뉴욕, 아트 온 패이퍼 등 다수의 아트페어에 참가 하였습니다. 또한 윤은 Encounter Korea 전시회에 남부 유타 박물관(SUMA) 및 로스앤젤레스 한국 문화원으로 의해 선정 되었습니다. 'Cubic Inception' 시리즈는 윤의 예술적 성장에서 중요한 장을 차지하며 전통 기술과 현대적 개념을 융합하는 그의 능력을 보여줍니다. 록펠러 주립 공원 보존지와 뉴욕 과학관에서의 개인전을 통해 그는 자신의 예술적 비전의 다양성과 심도를 보여주었습니다.

윤의 작품이 언론으로부터 주목받았습니다. Este Y Complutense 1994-1995, 스페인, 카탈로그가, 샹하이 리하이수 박물관, 2013, 카탈로그가 출판되었습니다. 윤작가는 1992년 에 스페인 리온 폰페라다 에서 회화상을 수상, 그리고 2001년에 뉴저지에 미카일 자킨 갤러리 대상을 수상했습니다. 그의 비전과 아이디어가 AHL 재단의 Peter Frank와 의 2022년 인터뷰를 통해 보다 널리 알려졌으며, 이어서 aThe Archive of Korean Artists in America"가 2023년에 출판되었습니다.

Kyung Youl Yoon (born in 1947 in Gangjin, Jeollanam-do) is an artist currently dedicated to sculptural painting in the "Cubic Inception" series.

Yoon immigrated to Madrid, Spain in the 1980s to continue his studies and extensively exhibited his works. After studying painting, sculpture, and printmaking at the Complutense University of Madrid (Bellas Artes University), he immigrated to the United States in 1995.

Since the 1980s, Yoon has held numerous exhibitions in the United States, Korea, China, and Spain. His works have been showcased in various platforms such as the Dong-A Art Festival, National Museum of Contemporary Art in 1986, a two-year touring exhibition in Spain at Este Y Complutense in 1994-1995, a solo exhibition at Arte Detursa gallery in Spain in 1994, a solo exhibition at Jain Marunochi gallery in New York in 1993, Blue Hill Cultural Art Center in New York in 2001, 2011, The Art Gallery at the Rockefeller State Park Preserve in 2017, 2022, Seoul Arts Center in 1996, Shanghai Li Haisu Museum in 2013, Public Inje Naeseorak Art Museum in 2020, Queens Museum ("Shades of Time") in 2014, and many others to provide diverse platforms for his works to be appreciated by various audiences.

Yoon held a solo exhibition at the Sylvia Wald and Po Kim gallery in 2016-2017, and has since participated in numerous art fairs such as Art Miami, Hamptons, Art New York, Art on Paper, etc., through the Donghwa Ode Gallery. He was also selected for the Encounter Korea exhibition at the Southern Utah Museum of Art (SUMA) and the Korean Cultural Center in Los Angeles.

The "Cubic Inception" series occupies an important place in Yoon's artistic growth, demonstrating his ability to integrate traditional techniques with modern concepts. Through solo exhibitions at the Rockefeller State Park Preserve and the New York Hall of Science, he showcased the diversity and depth of his artistic vision. Yoon's works have received attention from the media.

Catalogs were published for Este Y Complutense 1994-1995, Spain, and Shanghai Li Haixu Museum in 2013. Yoon won the painting award at the Ponferra, Leon, in Spain in 1992, and the Micael Jacquin Gallery Award in New Jersey in 2001. His vision and ideas became more widely known through an interview with Peter Frank of the AHL Foundation in 2022, followed by the publication of "The Archive of Korean Artists in America" in 2023.
